- Denpasar

- Legian
More relaxed and stylish than Kuta but a hot competitor, Legian has its fair share of fashionable nightspots and dinning options. The beach is less populated and interspersed with beach front resorts. Streets running perpendicular to the beach are dotted with shops for handicrafts, leather tailors, clothing, shoes, souvenir and cafes.
- Seminyak/Kerobokan

- Ubud
Regarded as the cultural heart of Bali, its name is derived from “Ubad”, meaning medicine, as the town supplied medicinal herbs in the old days. It is home to many respected local and western artists. The best known museums are Puri Lukisan Museum, displaying art from the 30s and 50s, including excellent examples of modern Balinese art; Neka museum, with the most diverse collection of interesting paintings, mainly contemporary art. This includes works by western artists who resided in Ubud over the years. The Agung Rai Museum of Art contains pieces by the famed Walter Spies, Raden Saleh, Affandi and Arie Smith. Ubud is the place to see traditional Balinese dance. Take the opportunity to see Bali on walks through small villages, rice terraces, lush jungles, monkey forests and breath taking gorges.
